Scrap car FAQs

How much is my scrap car worth in Manchester?+

Scrap car prices vary based on weight, make, model, condition and current metal market rates. Most cars in Greater Manchester scrap between £150 and £500. Enter your registration above for a firm, guaranteed quote.

Do you collect for free?+

Yes. Collection is always free across Manchester, Oldham, Stockport, Rochdale, Bolton and surrounding postcodes. The price you're quoted is the price you're paid.

Can I scrap a car without a V5 logbook?+

Yes. We can scrap vehicles without a V5C — we just need proof of ID and that you're the registered keeper. We'll handle the DVLA notification.

How quickly will you pay me?+

Payment is made by instant bank transfer the moment our driver loads your vehicle. No cheques, no waiting.

Do you take non-runners, MOT failures or accident-damaged cars?+

Absolutely. We specialise in non-runners, MOT failures, write-offs and accident-damaged vehicles. Same price, same day collection.

Are you a licensed scrap dealer?+

Yes. We are a fully licensed Authorised Treatment Facility, registered with the Environment Agency. You'll receive a DVLA Certificate of Destruction for your records.

What documents do I need to scrap my car?+

Photo ID (driving licence or passport) and ideally your V5C logbook. If you don't have the V5, we can still scrap the vehicle — we'll just need an additional ID check.

Do you scrap electric vehicles?+

Yes. We're equipped to safely collect and process electric and hybrid vehicles, including handling traction batteries through approved recyclers.

Can I scrap a car on finance?+

Only if the finance has been fully paid off. You'll need a settlement letter from the finance company confirming the vehicle is yours to scrap.

What happens to my car after collection?+

Your vehicle is taken to our Authorised Treatment Facility, depolluted (fluids, battery, airbags removed), and either parted out or shredded for metal recycling — all in line with End-of-Life Vehicle regulations.
